Emergency Line in Russia

Unfortunately, it's impossible to foresee everything. And even if we promise to do everything we can so you can enjoy a worry-free Russia getaway, knowing whom to call if something happens definitely won't hurt.

Although there are several emergency lines in Russia, we advise remembering the Universal Emergency Number, 112. You can call it free of charge from any landline or your mobile phone (even if it doesn't have a SIM card or was blocked because of the delayed payment) and operators speak both Russian and English.

Stay calm, explain the situation, and tell what kind of help do you need. Don't hang up until the operator clarifies everything he needs to know, keep your answers as short and substantive as possible. You will be asked to provide your name and phone number and to stay where you are until help arrives. When help is on its way, reach out to our support line if you are traveling with us.

Keep in mind that in Russia calling an ambulance is free and appropriate in case of any serious health questions that you need help with, unlike only life-death situations in the USA. Within 20 minutes, a doctor will come to check you over and either give you something to ease your condition or, if the situation demands, take you to the nearest hospital.

Please, remember that 112 doesn't provide any information and anyone who calls the service without a real emergency will have to pay a fine.

Most important emergency lines in Russia:

  • Common number: 112
  • Medical Emergencies: 103
  • Police: 102
  • Fire: 101
  • Gas leakages: 104

All in all, in case you will have an accident or health problems, call an emergency line. Don't panic and be clear. We wish you a smooth and enjoyable vacation in Russia.
