Arrival in Lisbon

Welcome to Lisbon - the fabulous capital of Portugal! Upon arrival your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free so you can start exploring the magnificent city center on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest in your comfortable room.

No meals included.

Note: The Hotel is not reachable by car, and you need to walk 3-5 minutes.

Lisbon Walking City Tour & Fado Show

After breakfast you meet your guide and enjoy a panoramic walking sightseeing tour of Lisbon.

During the tour you see the most famous attractions, including Restauradores Square with the Obelisk commemorating the Restoration of Portugal’s independence from Spain in 1640.

You take a funicular up to the Bairro Alto and admire the view of the Mouraria district and the Sao Jorge Castle, the charming neighborhood of Chiado abundant in old cafés, shops, and theaters.

Then you proceed to Baixa including Rossio Square, where you learn how the city was destroyed in 1755 by a massive earthquake, and then totally rebuilt to become the city of today. Continue to Alfama Lisbon’s oldest district to admire Se Cathedral - the city’s oldest church and Commerce Square.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have some time to rest before going to the Fado Show with dinner. Transfers to and from the restaurant are included.

Day Trip to Evora & Tile Painting Workshop

Following breakfast at your hotel, you meet your guide and driver and make your way to Evora, a charming city located in the heart of the Alentejo region. The city boasts its museum-like walled center which dates back to the Roman times and is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Together with your guide, you walk along the medieval white streets and marvel at the houses decorated with azulejos and wrought-iron balconies. During the tour, you also visit Roman Temple, Cathedral of Evora and the Chapel of Bones.

As a highlight of your day, enjoy the tile painting workshop and create your own unique ceramic tile! After the tour, you return to your Lisbon hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Note: if you prefer to take the tiles with you, the delivery will be only on the second day after the workshop (excluding Saturday & Sunday).

Trip to Sintra & Visit to the Belem Quarter

After breakfast you meet your guide and driver and start your journey on an exciting day-trip to one of Portugal's most beautiful destinations - the UNESCO-listed Cultural Landscape of Sintra, which is famous for its fairy-tale castles and beautiful scenery. Upon arrival you visit the fairytale Pena Palace with a round trip shuttle bus (up to the Pena Palace).

Then you have some free time for lunch (not included) before your driver takes you back to Lisbon. Upon arrival you visit the Belem Quarter, where you admire the Jeronimos Monastery (from the outside). You also make photo stops at the ancient Belem Tower and Monument to the Discoverers.

After the tour you are transferred back to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

    We invite you to explore Lisbon's National Tile Museum located in the former Convent of Madre Deus, founded by Queen D. Leonor in 1509.
  • Optional tour: Gastronomy Tour, Lisbon
    Set off on a gastronomic discovery of Portugal. In 3,5 hours you walk around neighborhoods of Lisbon, visit the market, and taste Portuguese dishes.

Trip to Coimbra via Obidos and Batalha

In the morning following breakfast you check out and start another day of exploring Portugal. Your guide and driver meet you at your hotel and take you to the charming town of Obidos. During the tour you admire its medieval castle dating back to the 12th century and the authentic white painted houses with terracotta tiled roofs.

You continue your trip to Batalha, its name meaning 'battle'. The town developed in the 14th century alongside the monastery, which was constructed by King Dom João I after Portugal defeated Castile at the Battle of Aljubarrota. You explore the majestic Monastery of Batalha, the masterpiece of Gothic architecture honored with UNESCO World heritage status (entrance is included).

Your final destination for today is the city of Coimbra where you check in to your centrally located hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Exploring Coimbra & Departure to Porto

Following breakfast you check out from the hotel. Together with your guide you go on a walking sightseeing tour of Coimbra highlights.

Coimbra, located in the heart of Portugal, was the medieval capital for more than 100 years and is the oldest university city in Portugal. Monumental, inspiring and surprisingly charming, the city faces the Mondego River, crowned by the University and its stunning baroque library.

In the afternoon your driver transfers you to the train station where you take a train to Porto - the romantic second-largest city in Portugal. In about three hours you arrive in the city, meet your driver and have a transfer to your centrally located hotel. The rest of the evening is free.

Exploring the Highlights of Porto

After breakfast you meet your guide who takes you on an exhilarating walking tour of Porto's main landmarks.

Located along the Douro river estuary in northern Portugal, Porto encompasses one of the oldest European town centers which is in fact registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first stop of your tour is the iconic Lello Bookshop, the oldest bookshop in Portugal. This bookshop was often visited by J.K.Rowling when she taught English in Porto. During the tour you aslo admire the most iconic city monuments, including the railway station of Sao Bento, the Porto Cathedral and San Francisco Church (tickets to Lello Bookshop and San Francisco Church are included).

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day Trip to the Douro Valley & Port Wine Tasting

Following breakfast you meet your guide and driver who take you on a full day tour to the breathtaking Douro Valley Wine Region - a famous UNESCO Heritage Site recognized as the best river destination of Europe.

The tour starts in the historical city of Amarante, where you see the impressive Bridge and Sao Goncalo Church. Afterwards, you make a stop in Regua - the center of the Port wine region.

Then you are taken to a wine tasting at Quinta Do Seixo from Sandeman, renown for its amazing view from the top of the mountain to the vineyards. Here you are treated to a wine tasting and lunch.

Your route then takes you along one of the most beautiful roads of Portugal to the small town of Pinhão, where you see beautiful blue tin-glazed ceramic tilework called Azulejos at the famous railway station.

The last destination for today is Aveleda Winery. After the tour you are transferred to your hotel in Porto and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Braga & Guimaraes Old Town Sightseeing Tours

Following breakfast, your guide and driver take you to Minho - the greenest region of Portugal, famous for its amazing landscapes, wonderful cultural heritage, and authentic handicrafts, which make Minho a region with a unique personality full of traditions.

Upon arrival in the capital of the region - the ancient city of Braga, you visit its 11th century Braga Cathedral (entrance tickets are included) and admire the impressive the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus.

You then take a trip to the cradle of Portugal - the medieval city of Guimaraes, where you explore its UNESCO-listed Old Town and visit its famous Palace of the Dukes (entrance tickets are included).
