Arrival in Barcelona

Welcome to the lively capital of Catalonia - Barcelona! Your driver meets you in the airport and transfers you to the centrally located hotel.

The rest of the day is free so you can either explore the fantastic center of Barcelona on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the following day.

Tour of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter

After breakfast, your guide meets you in the hotel lobby and takes you on a wonderful half-day walking tour around the most outstanding attractions of Barcelona.

Barcelona obtains one of the biggest and architecturally diverse Medieval districts in Europe. During the city tour, you get to see Barcelona's Old Town called "Casc Antic" and its medieval landmarks.

You walk through the maze of old narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter that was formed around the Roman forum. Then you see the Barcelona Cathedral both from the outside and the inside, pass the former Jewish District "Call", the Sant Jaume Square, see the Generalitat Palace and City Hall from the outside, pass the Square of the King and the former Royal Palace.

You then proceed to the Ribera shore district where you see the Santa Maria del Mar church - the former residence of sailors, traders and craftsmen who lived and worked there in the Middle Ages. The tour finishes on the most vivid street in Barcelona La Rambla, where you can take a rest at one of the open-air terraces.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Gaudi Tour

Following breakfast, you meet your private guide and private driver and enjoy a fantastic sightseeing tour dedicated to the world-renowned architectural works of Antonio Gaudi.

You start with the visit to the colorful Park Guell, where you spend some time strolling through its mosaic paths and enjoying the great city views.

The day is crowned with a visit to the astonishing Sagrada Familia Basilica - the most brilliant masterpiece of Gaudi that is rightfully considered to be the most recognizable symbol of Barcelona.

After the tour you are transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day Tour to the Penedes Wine Region

After breakfast, you meet your guide and driver in the hotel lobby and start your full day tour to Penedès wine region - one of Spains most famous wine regions, along with La Rioja and Priorat.

On the way to the winery, you have a stop in the town of Villafranca and have a short tour. You visit the famous Plaza de la Vila where the most important meetings of the Castellers (a group of Catalans that specialize in building castells, or human towers) are held.

Continue your journey and enjoy an exceptional tasting of cava and wines at a family-run winery and meet a specialist who introduces you to all the stages of wine producing and secrets of the cellar. Conclude your day with a leisure walk through the vineyards.

You are then taken for lunch to a typical countryside restaurant where you get to try the best of Catalan cuisine.

After the tour, you are taken back to the hotel and have the evening at leisure.

Free Day in Barcelona

Today is a free day for you to spend at your leisure in Barcelona or take one of the optional tours.

  • Optional tour: Day Trip to the Montserrat Monastery
    Enjoy a full day trip to Montserrat, the picturesque multi-peaked mountain in the middle of Spain’s first national park. During the tour, you visit the Monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat.
  • Optional tour: Day Trip to Girona
    Explore the charming historic Catalan town on the Costa Brava. Its enchanting medieval center is one of the best preserved in Spain.
  • Optional tour: Day Trip to Figueres
    Take a train to the legendary town Figueres - the town in which Dalí was born, lived and died. Along with a visit to the Dalí Theatre-Museum, you discover the historic center.

Departure from Barcelona

This is the last day of your amazing tour to Spains Catalonia region! After breakfast, your driver transfers you to the airport for your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future trips!
