Day-by-Day

Day 1
Arrival in Milan

Welcome to the Milan! Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver at the airport, who transfers you to the hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is at your leisure to relax after the trip.

Day 2
Milan Sightseeing Tour

Following breakfast, you meet your guide in the hotel lobby and have a 3-hour walking tour of Milan to learn more about the city’s history and reputation as a fashion capital.

You start with a visit to the world-known Milan Duomo, the Gothic cathedral and the highest sight in the city which took about six centuries to build. Then you walk through nearby-located Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and reach La Scala Theatre. Prepare to be wowed by the prestigious Milan opera house (no entrance is included).

You continue to the picturesque Brera district to feel the historical atmosphere of the city. Explore the public areas with stories of its 15th-century owners ringing in your ears. Afterward, you make a stop at Castello Sforzesco to see history and style combined with Milanese flair.

*Please note: Milan Cathedral is a sacred religious site thus the dress code for visiting it is applied just as when you visit any church in Italy: no shorts – no uncovered knees and shoulders, no backpacks.

*Note: The unique treasure of Milan - Leonardo da Vinci’s legendary fresco “The Last Supper” located in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is not included in the city tour due to its limited availability. Please, ask your travel specialist about available tickets for your tour date.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the day free.

Day 3
Trip to Lake Como

After breakfast, you check out from the hotel and your driver transfers you to Como, located on the shores of another stunningly beautiful lake - Lake Como.

Como town boasts several artistic monuments from different historical periods. After check-in at the hotel, you meet your local guide who shows you around. During the city tour you see the medieval walls surrounding the historic center, stroll through the ancient streets in the heart of the town, and admire beautiful Romanesque and Baroque churches. You see the Piazza Volta and Piazza Duomo with its charming old Town Hall building and its characteristic bell tower. During the tour, you enjoy public boat tour as well as a Como-Brunate funicular ride.

The highlight of the tour is the visit to the superb 600-year old Como Cathedral. Nearby is the Palazzo Terragni, an example of the modern rationalist architecture.

After the tour, you are guided back to the hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 4
Lake Garda Sightseeing & Private Boat Ride

Today you check out from the hotel in Como and your driver transfers you to Lake Garda.

Upon arrival you check in to the hotel, meet your private guide at the hotel lobby and have a memorable private boat ride around the most magnificent landmarks of Lake Garda.

During the cruise, you make a stop in Sirmione, one of the most popular sights on Lake Garda, for a short walking tour. Then continue sailing around the peninsula and discovering the western coast of the lake with its lush nature and fascinating villages. You get to see the Rocca di Manerba, Isola dei Conigli and Isola del Garda. Your boat tour provides the possibility to make stops to explore the shore and islands with your private guide. You see historical places and enjoy the always loved atmosphere of this lake.


After the tour, you return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5
Day Trip to Verona & Winery Visit

After breakfast, you are picked up from the hotel and taken directly to Verona, the city renown worldwide for being the place of action of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet".

Verona is a crossroads of history and a mosaic of landscapes: the gentle hills and the sinuous river embrace this checkerboard of streets with its soaring red-brick towers.

During the tour, you explore the main highlights of the city, including Piazza Bra, Roman Arena, della Scala castle and famous Scaligero family tombs. Juliet’s house is naturally on the program too!

Following a lunch break, you travel to Valpolicella area which is a birthplace of Amarone, a well-known Italian wine. You enjoy a wine tasting with a guided tour at one of the local wineries.

After the tour, you are transferred back to your hotel in Garda.

Day 6
Free Day at Garda Lake

Today you have a free day to spend near Lake Garda. We recommend spending the day at Terme di Sirmione, one of the best Thermal Centers in Europe.

Day 7
Transfer to Venice & Venice Sightseeing Tour

In the morning you check out from the hotel. Your driver takes you to Venice - one of the most charming cities of Italy. Upon arrival, you are taken directly to the hotel where you meet your private guide to start a touring program around Venice.

During the tour you visit St. Mark's Basilica, where you can see the astonishing Pala D'Oro altar as well as the Treasury with numerous exhibits surviving from Venice's notorious raid on Constantinople back in 1204. Next you go up to Loggia dei Cavalli to enjoy the best panoramic views of St. Mark's Square.

Next on your list is the tour of the Doges Palace that includes crossing the Bridge of Sighs, visiting the old prisons and lushly decorated chambers of the Palace.

You may add an optional gondola ride to your city tour to admire Venice from water.

After the tour return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 8
Free Day or Optional Murano & Burano Boat Tour

Today is a free day for you to explore and savor Venice! If you would like to have a scheduled itinerary for that day, we have prepared an optional day-trip to some of the most interesting places around Venice.

  • Optional Tour: Trip to Murano and Burano
    Located in the Venetian lagoon, Burano Island is famous for its lace making production and Murano is well-known for its glass blowing traditions.
Day 9
Train to Florence & Sightseeing

Following breakfast, you meet your private driver for a transfer to the railway station. In about 2 hours you reach your next destination, Florence. Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver at the train station, who transfers you to the hotel for the check-in.

Later the same day you meet with your private guide and go on a comprehensive walking tour of Florence's highlights.

Today's program includes exploration of the Piazza del Duomo with a visit to the Baptistery dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Your ticket to the Grande Museo del Duomo allows you to visit the other magnificent monuments of Piazza del Duomo in your free time within 72 hours: the Cathedral itself, the Dome and its famous Bell Tower. 

As you proceed to the main square of the city - Piazza della Repubblica - you pass by the touristic area of the Strozzi Palace a bustling shopping street, via Tornabuoni.

Then you enter in Oltrarno where you see numerous local craftsmen shops and beautiful Santo Spirito Church and Convent, built for the Agostinian monks. In this very part of the city you can find the first official work of Michelangelo dating back to the age when he was 17 years old. We also visit the Galleria dell'Accademia to see the famous Michelangelo's statue David as well before ending the tour on the Ponte Vecchio.

After the tour you return to your hotel and enjoy evening at your own leisure.

Day 10
Ancient Rome Sightseeing & Colosseum

After breakfast in your hotel, you check out and meet your private driver for a transfer to the railway station. An hour and a half later you arrive in Rome. Your driver meets you and takes you to your downtown hotel.

After check-in, meet your guide for a stroll through the very heart of Rome. Today in about 4 hours you see the most famous attractions and hidden treasures of the Eternal city. You explore the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, as well as witness the masterpieces by Bernini, Borromini, and many others.

The highlight of your day is a tour of the most well-recognized sight of Rome - the Colosseum. Taxi fare to travel between the sites with your guide is included.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11
Vatican Sightseeing

In the morning after breakfast, meet your guide and driver and head to a walled enclave and the world’s smallest independent state - Vatican*. When inside the Vatican, you visit private apartments of Julius II, Pinecone Courtyard, Gallery of the Maps, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of Candelabra.

Next, you proceed to the Sistine Chapel, where you have enough time to admire Michelangelo's famous frescoes and learn about the intense relationship between Pope Julius II and Michelangelo that drove the artist to create the greatest work of art the world has ever known.

Your tour continues in the vast open spaces of St. Peter’s Basilica where you see a stunning Pieta - a world-famous work of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo, and Bernini's impressive Papal Canopy, a legacy left to the Basilica by the Barberini family.

The ending point of your tour is St. Peter’s Square, where you can admire Michelangelo's Dome and the gorgeous colonnades designed by Bernini.

After that, you are transferred back to the hotel and have the evening free to enjoy the beauty of Rome on your own.

Day 12
Train to Naples

Following breakfast at the hotel, you check-out. Your driver takes you to the railway station for a comfortable ride across Southern Italy to the picturesque coastal town of Naples.

Upon arrival, your driver picks you up at the railway station and transfers you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at your own leisure.

Day 13
Naples City Tour

In the morning after breakfast at your hotel, prepare to continue your Italy exploration. Your private guide and driver take you on a touring program around the best sights of charming Naples. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and boasts numerous sites, dating to different time periods. Its towering palaces, narrow streets, ancient churches and underground passages are unique, making Naples city center probably the most unchanged one in Europe.

Together with your guide, you get to see unmissable attractions of the motherland of pizza, see its famous Piazza squares, UNESCO-listed historic center, and the Naples Cathedral. The highlight of the tour is a visit to Sansevero Chapel Museum to admire the masterpieces of the world artistic heritage.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 14
Transfer to Sorrento

Following breakfast in your hotel you check out, meet your private driver and are transferred to the hotel on Amalfi coast (or Sorrento) for check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the beauty of the sea landscape.

    Your day is dedicated to the exploration of historical gems of Southern Italy. You start with the archeological sites of Pompeii and discover the picturesque towns of Positano and Amalfi from a local perspective.
Day 15
Free Day at Amalfi Coast

Today following breakfast at your hotel you have a free day to continue enjoying fascinating Sorrento at your leisure. You can join one of our carefully planned optional tours.

    Spend 8 hours learning about the local gastronomic traditions and history. A must for all food lovers!
  • Optional Tour: Trip to Capri Island
    Cruise along the Sorrento coast, before crossing to Capri to marvel at some of the most dramatic rock formation.

    Spend 3 hours enjoying a walking guided tour of Sorrento, a stunning city on the Amalfi Coast.
Day 16
Departure

This is the last day of your tour. After breakfast, your driver meets you in the hotel lobby and takes you to the airport of Naples for your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future vacations!

What to Know
  • You can expect to find some shops and restaurants closed from 1-4 p.m. as it is "Riposo" time, Italy’s midday siesta. Most places will be also closed on Sundays
  • Most restaurants won’t open until 7 p.m. or later
  • Tipping in restaurants is included in the bill, the cover charge is called ”coperto”. A charge from $1 to $3 will be noted on the menu
  • Make sure you have coins, in Italy, you will be typically charged from 1 to 2 Euros to enter a public restroom
