After breakfast you meet with your private guide to enjoy a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Palermo.

The capital of Sicily - Palermo - has been a crossroads for cultures and civilizations for 8 millennia. Together with your private guide you start the tour at the Norman Palace and the Palatine Chapel.

Then you walk along Villa Bonanno to the Cathedral in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, just to admire the exterior; continue along Vittorio Emanuele to the imposing Four Corners. Then on to the Tuscan fountain in Piazza Pretoria and just behind it see two splendid Arabo-Norman churches, La Martorana and San Cataldo.

After the tour you return to the hotel. You have rest of the day free to enjoy Palermo on your own or join our carefully planned optional tour.

Following breakfast you check out from the Palermo hotel and meet with your private guide-driver. First, you drive along the coast to the charming seacoast town of Cefalu.

Located only about an hour’s drive east from Palermo, you get to see the iconic postcard views of Sicily. Cefalu is a very colorful fishing village, complete with brightly-hued boats and twisting narrow streets, but there is also a splendid Norman Cathedral built by King Roger II in the 12th century in fulfillment of a promise he made to God for sparing his life during a storm at sea.

Then you continue into the Madonie mountains to the hotel, Relais Sant’Anastasia, located in a medieval Benedictine abbey of the XII century. Here you have an organic wine tasting and spend the night.

Today after a delicious breakfast at the hotel you spend the day exploring famous Agrigento sights and its surroundings.

The guided tour begins with one of the two highlights of the city - the splendid Valley of the Temples. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site where you visit the near-intact Temple of Concord, the best-preserved temple in the World and one of the symbols of Sicily.

In the second part of the day enjoy a trip with your private driver to the seaside to see the famous Scala dei Turchi Cliffs. The dazzling chalky white rocky cliff eroded conveniently into stairs rising 50 meters above sea level. This natural phenomenon so-called "Stairs of the Turks" allows for easy walking. Its gleaming color is eye-catching enough, but what makes it even more remarkable is that it looks like a staircase carved by man even though its shape is entirely natural.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the evening at leisure.

Along the way, we have arranged a stop to see the hidden gem of Sicily near a town Piazza Armerina. Here you visit* the famous Villa Romana del Casale a UNESCO Site especially noteworthy for the richness and quality of the mosaics.

Upon arrival to Syracuse, your guide meets you at the hotel and together you start the city tour. Today you visit one of the most important archeological sites in the World, the Neapolis Park of Syracuse. Here you explore the still-working Greek Theater, the Ear of Dionysius and the Roman Amphitheater.

Your tour continuous to the delightful Ortygia Island where you have an inside visit to the Duomo where a Greek Doric temple remains to be a part of it, and for this reason, it is included in the UNESCO list.

Following breakfast, you check-out from your Syracuse hotel and together with your private driver start an unforgettable road-trip to Sicily's main attraction - Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe.

Your driver takes you to an access point - the Rifugio Sapienza on the southern slope located 2,000 meters (6562 feet) above sea level. Here you take a walk to visit the "Silvestri" craters and the latest new lava flows and craters from 2001-2003 and enjoy the desert moon atmosphere!

On the way down you also visit a local winery and taste local Etna wine.

Once your visit to Etna is over, you are transferred on to your next destination - the stylish yet easy-going cozy coastal town Taormina.

Upon arrival you check-in at your hotel and rest of the day is at your leisure.

What To Know

  • You can expect to find some shops and restaurants closed from 1-4 p.m. as it is "Riposo" time, Italy’s midday siesta. Most places will be also closed on Sundays
  • Tipping in restaurants is included in the bill, the cover charge is called ”coperto”. A charge from $1 to $3 will be noted on the menu
  • In Sicily you will find some small boutiques and markets taking only cash, so make sure you change some money to Euros before leaving the country
