Day-by-Day

Day 1
Arrival to Munich

Welcome to Munich! Upon arrival you meet your driver at the arrivals hall and head for your centrally-located hotel for check in.

The rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy Munich on your own.

Day 2
Munich City Tour

After breakfast, you meet your private guide and go on a fascinating 3-hour tour of Munich's beautiful old town to get an insight into the city's turbulent 850-year history.

With its exuberant atmosphere and vitality, Munich is one of Europe's great cultural centers. Enjoy your city tour around Marien Square, Church of Our Lady and Residenz Palace. In the ancient part of the town the world-famous Hofbrauhaus, the medieval town gates, and the colorful open-air market Viktualienmarkt are waiting for you. Munich’s elegant Maximilian Street offers views at the Bavarian Parliament, Deutsches Museum, Royal Palace and the Opera House. You also pass by Theatiner Church, Hall of Generals (Feldherrnhalle), and House of Arts, the Bavarian National Museum and the Angel of Peace.

➤  Firebird recommends: Pay a visit to Olympiapark: Munich’s 1972 Olympic Park, where you can ride a zip-line over the iconic stadium, and participate in other sports activities.

After the tour, the rest of the day is at your own leisure.

Day 3
Day-trip to Neuschwanstein Castle & Bavarial Alps

Experience a truly royal day tour of the majestic Neuschwanstein Castle, which inspired Walt Disney! Together with your guide-driver, you are able to enjoy a hassle-free day without queuing and rushing.

Today Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. Every year 1.4 million people visit "the castle of the fairy-tale king". Each summer around 6,000 visitors a day stream through rooms that were initially intended for a single inhabitant. During the guided group tour of the castle, you learn about the eccentric Fairy Tale King Ludwig II, a builder of this imposing landmark, his complicated life in Bavaria at the start of the Second Reich and his life-long friendship with the composer Richard Wagner.

On the way back to Munich, your private guide-driver can make a stop at Linderhof Palace or other beautiful sights in the picturesque region of Bavarian Alps.

Day 4
Train to Innsbruck & City Tour

In the morning you check out, walk to the station and take a high-speed train from Munich through the spectacular mountains to Innsbruck. Upon arrival, you meet your driver and head for your hotel to check in.

Later you meet your guide in the hotel lobby and start a tour of magnificent Innsbruck, also known as the Capital of the Alps. You explore the oldest part of the town called Altstadt, with its beautifully cobbled streets and medieval houses coloured in lively pastel colors. Amazing mix of Gothic and Baroque styles gives Innsbruck's old town a special charm. During the tour you see one of the Innsbruck highlights - the Goldenes Dachl (the Golden Roof) nicely decorated with fire-gilded copper tiles. It was constructed in 1500 for Emperor Maximilian to mark his wedding to Bianca Maria Sforza.

You continue to Innsbruck's Boulevard and central street area called Maria-Theresien-Strasse, which offers a wonderful street view with the mountains seen in the back, before you finally return back to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5
Train to Salzburg & City Tour

After breakfast you check out from your hotel, and your driver takes you to the train station for a direct train to Salzburg. Upon arrival, you walk to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

Later you meet your private guide and embark on a exciting tour of Salzburg and the Lake Region. You discover the UNESCO-listed Historic Centre of the City of Salzburg with its medieval fortress, baroque palaces and churches. You see the Getreidegasse and Mozart’s birthplace, pass by the Festival Houses where the Salzburg Festival is held every year, stroll along the narrow streets and enjoy the flair of this old city.

After the tour you return back to your hotel or continue exploring Salzburg on your own.

You start at the State Opera House and walk through the Karntnerstrasse, a shopping street in the pedestrian zone in the city center, to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Then walk along the Graben und the Kohlmarkt, a very exquisite shopping area, to the Imperial Palace Hofburg, the former winter residence of the Habsburgs. It now houses the Imperial Apartments, Sisi Museum, Imperial Silver Chamber, Austrian National Library and much more.

Continue to Ring avenue home to the Museums of Fine Art and National History, the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater. During the tour you also see Neuer Markt and the Capuchin monastery.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. In the evening you can enjoy optional concert 'Sounds of Vienna'.

Day 8
Schonbrunn Palace & Vienna Woods Exploration

After breakfast your guide and driver take you on a 4-hour touring program around the most significant sites within the boundaries and in the surrounding area of Vienna.

During the tour you explore the Vienna Woods, which are the most eastern foothills of the Alps. You enjoy a stunning view over the city and Danube River from Kahlenberg, the highest hill in the city.

Then you drive through the wine area in the foot of the Vienna Woods, the town of Grinzing, and learn why Vienna is called the 'Wine-Growing Capital of the World'.

After the tour you return to your hotel in Vienna. The rest of the day is free.
