Day-by-Day

Day 1
Arrival to Venice

Welcome to Venice - one of the most charming cities of Italy. Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver and assistant at the airport who take you to the hotel for check-in.

In the evening enjoy a Welcome cocktail at the hotel with your guide and discuss the exciting journey that awaits you ahead.

Day 2
Venice Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, meet your private guide in the lobby and enjoy a wonderful walking city tour of all the must-see places of Venice.

Among many sights you discover are the iconic St. Mark's Basilica, where you see the astonishing Pala D'Oro altar. You go up to Loggia dei Cavalli to enjoy the best panoramic views of St. Mark's Square.

Next on your list is the tour of the Doges Palace that includes crossing the Bridge of Sighs, visiting the old prisons and lushly decorated chambers of the Palace.

Continue to Rialto and its market which gives a unique chance to flavor the real, authentic Venetian atmosphere. The market displays essential elements of local cuisine and might be considered as one of the very few open-air food markets still active in Italy. Walk along the majestic water way of the Grand Canal, the intricate maze of alleys and the many "bacaries" where you can stop for a good glass of wine and taste typical Venetian cicheto.

You also enjoy Venice from a luxury private watertaxi which then takes you for a quick tour to Murano Island, worldwide famous for its glass craftsmanship.

After the tour return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure or may go on an optional gondola ride.

Day 3
Leisure Time in Venice & Train to Florence

The first half of the day is free for you to enjoy and explore Venice on your own.

In the afternoon your private driver and assistant pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the railway station. Upon arrival to Florence in about 2 hours you are met by your guide and driver and taken to your hotel for check-in. The evening is at leisure.

Day 4
Florence Sightseeing

After breakfast in the hotel, meet with your private guide and driver and go on a comprehensive tour of Florence's highlights.

Your exploration of Florence starts with a visit to the Piazzale Michelangelo that offers great panoramic views of the whole city.

After admiring the breathtaking views you proceed to the heart of the city and start your tour that includes visits to the Duomo with its famous Bell-tower and Baptistery dedicated to St. John the Baptist. As you proceed to the main square of the city - Piazza della Repubblica - you pass by the touristic area of the Strozzi Palace a bustling shopping street, via Tornabuoni.

Then you enter Oltrarno where you see numerous local craftsmen shops and the beautiful Santo Spirito Church and Convent, built for the Agostinian monks. In this very part of the city you can find the first official work of Michelangelo dating back to the age when he was 17 years old. You also visit the Galleria dell'Accademia to admire Michelangelo's famous statue David before ending the tour on the Ponte Vecchio.

After the tour you return to your hotel and enjoy the evening at your own leisure.

Day 5
Leisure Time & Evening Wine Tasting

Today is free for you to explore Florence on your own, relax in your beautiful hotel or join an optional tour.

In the evening meet your fellow travelers at the hotel restaurant for a wine tasting. Enjoy a tasting of 4 different wines selected by the hotel sommelier with bruschetta, grissini and a selection of cheese.

Day 6
From Florence to Rome

In the morning following breakfast, you have the first half of the day at leisure.

In the afternoon meet your driver in the hotel lobby who transfers you to the rail station to board a train to Rome. An hour and a half later you arrive in the Italian capital. Your guide meets you and takes you to your downtown hotel.

After check-in, together with your guide, you go on an evening panoramic tour of Rome. During the tour you see one of Rome's impressive Baroque masterpieces, the stunning Trevi Fountain, explore the Spanish Steps, and stroll the Piazza Navona, housing the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers.

After the tour, your guide takes you back to the hotel and you have the evening at leisure.

Day 7
Ancient Rome & Colosseum

After breakfast in your hotel, meet with your private guide and driver and go to the very heart of Rome. Today in about 4 hours you discover the famous ancient treasures of the Eternal City.

Your first stop today is the iconic Roman Forum, situated on low ground between the Palatine and Capitoline hills, it was the key political, ritual, and civic center of ancient Rome and can be traced 3 thousand years back. Today you can see columns and remains of ancient temples, archs and buildings, such as the Temple of Caesar and the Arch of Septimius Severus, as well as the the adjacent Palatine Hill, which was the site of the city’s first settlements.

Another place you discover today is Rome's hallmark site - the Colosseum. Originally known by the name of Flavius amphitheatre, it was the biggest and most imposing building of its kind in the Roman world, designed as an arena for the fights of Roman gladiators and could hold up to 70 thousand spectators.

After the tour your guide takes you back to the hotel and in the evening you have a dinner with your guide in one of the best restaurants in Rome.

Day 8
Vatican Sightseeing

In the morning after breakfast meet your guide and driver and head to a walled enclave and the world’s smallest independent state - Vatican*. When inside the Vatican, you visit private apartments of Julius II, the Pinecone Courtyard, the Gallery of the Maps, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of Candelabra.

Next you proceed to the Sistine Chapel, where you have enough time to admire Michelangelo's famous frescoes and learn about the intense relationship between Pope Julius II and Michelangelo that drove the artist to create the greatest work of art the world has ever known.

Your tour continues in the vast open spaces of St. Peter’s Basilica where you see a stunning Pieta - a world-famous work of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo, and Bernini's impressive Papal Canopy, a legacy left to the Basilica by the Barberini family.

The ending point of your tour is St. Peter’s Square, where you can admire Michelangelo's Dome and the gorgeous colonnades designed by Bernini.

After that you are transferred back to the hotel. In the evening your guide takes you for a farewell dinner to one of the best restaurants in Rome.

  • *Please note: the Vatican is a sacred religious site thus the dress code for visiting it is applied just as when you visit any church in Italy: no shorts – no uncovered knees and shoulders, no backpacks.

Day 9
Day at Leisure in Rome & Optional tours

This day is reserved for you to continue exploring the beautiful Italian capital, Rome on your own. Alternatively, you may join one of our carefully-planned optional tours.

Day 10
Departure

This is the last day of your amazing journey across Italy! After breakfast your driver meets you at the hotel lobby and takes you to the airport for the flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future vacations!

What to Know
  • You can expect to find some shops and restaurants closed from 1-4 p.m. as it is "Riposo" time, Italy’s midday siesta. Most places will be also closed on Sundays
  • Most restaurants won’t open until 7 p.m. or later
  • Tipping in restaurants is included in the bill, the cover charge is called ”coperto”. A charge from $1 to $3 will be noted on the menu
  • Make sure you have coins, in Italy, you will be typically charged from 1 to 2 Euros to enter a public restroom
