Arrival in Moscow

Welcome to the legendary capital of Russia - Moscow! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to relax in your cozy room, dine in one of the nearby restaurants or start exploring the amazing city center on your own.

Moscow City Tour & Bolshoi Theater Tour

Following breakfast, you enjoy a panoramic Moscow city tour with a private guide and driver. Today you have a chance to enjoy one of the best city views at Sparrow Hills and see the grand building of Moscow State University, the highest of seven Stalinist skyscrapers of Moscow. You also view the spectacular Cathedral of Christ the Savior and learn the story of its destruction and reconstruction.

After a short break, you have a unique 1.5-hour guided tour* of the Bolshoi Theater, covering both its history and architecture. Did you know that Bolshoi's ballet and opera are amongst the oldest and most renowned theater companies in the world. During the tour, you visit all the main parts of the historic building, including the Imperial auditorium and the Beethoven auditorium. After the tour, you are transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Exploring the Kremlin & Bolshoi Theater Evening Show

This day is dedicated to the exploration of one of the most outstanding Moscow icons, the Kremlin, and the heart of Moscow, the Red Square. Following breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and walk to the Kremlin territory where you have a chance to explore the gems hidden behind the Kremlin walls such as the Cathedral Square and the Assumption and Annunciation cathedrals. Then you visit the famous Armoury Chamber that houses a unique collection of crown jewels, stunning coronation finery, hand-forged armor and weapons, royal carriages and sleighs, and world-famous Fabergé eggs.

After a short break for coffee, you take a walk through the beautiful Red Square, go inside the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral and explore the famous GUM department store. After the tour, you walk back to your hotel.

As a highlight of your day, in the evening, you are invited for the show at the legendary Bolshoi Theater of Moscow. Transfers are included.

Visiting the Tchaikovsky House Museum in Klin

After breakfast, you check out from your Moscow hotel and set off on an exciting tour devoted to the life and art of the remarkable Russian composer, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, whose works are included in the world's most popular classical repertoire.

Together with your guide and driver, you travel to the town of Klin, located 85 km (53 mi) northwest of Moscow. Upon arrival, you pay a guided visit* to the Tchaikovsky House-Museum. This is the very building where Tchaikovsky resided in 1892, one year before he passed away. During this time he created his last major work, the 6th Symphony. You discover many aspects of Tchaikovsky's private life, see the composer's piano, visit the places where he lived and wrote his music.

  • Note: The tour is not available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and last Monday of the month.

After exploring the house, you view the architectural sights of the city of Klin, including the 16th-century church of the Dormition cloister as well as the 18th century baroque Resurrection cathedral before heading back to Moscow.

Upon arrival to Moscow, you are transferred to the train station where you board the modern high-speed Sapsan train that takes you to St. Petersburg in comfort and safety in just 4 hours. Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the train station platform and takes you to your centrally located hotel for overnight.

St. Petersburg is the gem of Russia truly worth exploring while in the country. Founded by Tsar Peter the Great back in 1703, it is now called the City of Tsars because of its magnificent architecture and eventful history.

Panoramic Theater Tour & Evening Concert at the Mariinsky Concert Hall

After breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on an amazing panoramic city tour dedicated to the theater gems of St. Petersburg. The first stop on your list today is the Sheremetev Palace which was once the center of St. Petersburg's aristocratic life. The palace boasted not only extensive lands but also its own theater where the famous troupe and orchestra performed.

Next on your list is an entrance to the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, you have a tour of the beautiful and recognizable church which stands where Russia's great emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded. You then walk to the Arts Square and explore its beautiful ensemble including the Mikhailovsky Palace and the Mikhailovsky Theater. Then continue to Palace Square, the Hermitage Museum, and the Hermitage Theater which was the main platform for court performances.

During the tour, you also view the Peter and Paul Fortress - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family. Then you reach the Museum of Political History of Russia* hosted in Kschessinska Mansion where you visit an exposition dedicated to the outstanding ballerina who left a bright mark in the history of Russian art.

Other sights you see today include the St. Isaac's Cathedral, which dominates the St. Petersburg skyline and opens outstanding city views, the historic Mariinsky Theatre of opera and ballet, and Theater Square with a monument to Mikhail Glinka.

After the tour, you return to your hotel. In the evening, you are invited to a wonderful show* at the Mariinsky Concert Hall. Transfers are included.

Tour of the Hermitage Museum

Following breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go to the legendary Hermitage Museum to see its unique collection of world art. During the tour, you visit the halls of the Winter Palace to explore the main collection of the Hermitage, including the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, El Greco, Francisco Goya and Thomas Gainsborough.

You then cross the Palace square to enter the General Staff Building which houses Hermitage's superb collection of Modern European Art, primarily consisting of the world-famous French impressionist and post-impressionist paintings.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Trip to Peterhof & Mariinsky Performance

After breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and travel to the outskirts of St. Petersburg to explore the former summer residence of Russian tsars and the gem of palace architecture - Peterhof.

During the tour, you visit the famous Bath Cottage and take a walk in the beautiful Lower Park, lavishly adorned with 176 fountains of various forms and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes.

After the tour, you return to your hotel. In the evening, you are invited to the show* at the legendary Mariinsky Theater. Transfers are included.

Departure from St. Petersburg

This is the final day of your amazing Moscow - St. Petersburg tour. After breakfast, you check out from your hotel and your private driver takes you to the airport for your flight back home.
