Day-by-Day

Day 1
Arrival in Moscow

Welcome to the legendary capital of Russia - Moscow! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free to relax in your cozy room, dine in one of the nearby restaurants or start exploring the amazing city center on your own.

Day 2
Visiting the Trinity Lavra in Sergiev Posad & Transfer to Suzdal

Following early breakfast, your private guide-driver picks you up at the hotel in Moscow and take you to Sergiev Posad known as "Russian Vatican" for its magnificent blue and golden cupolas scattered all around the town.

Upon arrival, you enjoy a wonderful sightseeing tour around the most cherished treasures of Sergiev Posad. The highlight of the day is a tour lead by a churchman in the spiritual center of Russian Orthodoxy - the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius.

After a lunch break, your guide takes you to a cozy town Suzdal, and after check-in, you have a free evening to enjoy the atmosphere of provincial Russia.

Day 3
Visiting the Suzdal Kremlin & Tour of Vladimir Cathedrals

Following breakfast meet your guide-driver in the hotel lobby and enjoy a sightseeing tour of Suzdal known as a city-museum of the Golden Ring. Suzdal boasts its large number of preserved historical monuments of ancient Russian art and architecture.

During the tour, you visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites - the brilliant architectural complex of the Kremlin and the ensemble of the Monastery of Saint Euthymius. Continue your trip to the Museum of Wooden Architecture which is an example of ancient classical Russia.

After a lunch break, you are taken to Vladimir to witness unique architectural creations. During your tour around this town, you go inside the Dormition Cathedral that preserves the world famous frescoes of Andrei Rublev dating back to the 15th century.
Together with your guide you explore the architectural complex of the Cathedral of St. Dimitriy and walk along a central pedestrian street full of galleries, artists, and local souvenirs.

In the evening your driver takes you back to your hotel in Moscow for the overnight.

Day 4
Moscow City Tour & Visit to the Tretyakov Gallery

After breakfast, you meet your private guide and driver in the hotel lobby and start a wonderful city tour around the most magnificent Moscow landmarks.

During the tour, you take a walk at the beautiful Red Square, go inside the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral, admire a beautiful facade of the famous GUM department store, see the spectacular Cathedral of Christ the Savior (if time allows) and enjoy one of the best city views at Sparrow Hills.

You then proceed to the world-famous treasure trove of the Russian fine art, the Tretyakov Gallery, where you have amazing time viewing the gems of its collection, including the famous masterpieces of Ivan Aivazovsky, Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Vasnetsov.

After the tour, you are transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 5
Visiting the Kremlin & Armoury Chamber

This day is dedicated to the exploration of one of the most outstanding Moscow icons - the Kremlin.

Following breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go inside the Kremlin walls to visit its famous Armoury Chamber that houses a unique collection of crown jewels, stunning coronation finery, hand-forged armor and weapons, royal carriages and sleighs, and world-famous Fabergé eggs.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. In the evening you can enjoy an optional tour.

  • Optional tour: Moskva River Boat Ride & Moscow by Night Tour
    Your tour starts in the evening from 1.5 hours boat ride along the Moskva river and opens a different perspective of the Russian capital. Total tour duration: 3.45 hours. Guide and transfers are included.

Day 6
Exploring Novodevichy Convent & Subway Ride

Following breakfast, you check out from your hotel and enjoy a guided tour to one of the most beautiful Russia’s monasteries - the Novodevichy Convent.

During the tour you explore the unique interiors of the Convent and visit its Cemetery that is considered one of Moscow’s most prestigious resting places. Many famous Russian political leaders, actors, scientists, poets and musicians are buried there, including Mstislav Rostropovich, Mikhail Bulgakov, Anton Chekhov, Vladimir Mayakovsky and Boris Yeltsin. The cemetery has a park-like ambiance, dotted with small chapels and beautiful monuments, that makes you feel like strolling in the park of sculptures.

Today you also have a chance to enjoy one of the best city views at Sparrow Hills and see the grand building of Moscow State University, the highest of seven Stalinist skyscrapers of Moscow.

After the tour you return to your hotel.

Day 7
St. Petersburg City Tour

After breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on an amazing panoramic city tour around the most cherished gems of St. Petersburg, including Palace Square, the Hermitage Museum, the St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, Nevsky Prospect and many other popular attractions (no entrances included).

During the tour, you also visit the Peter and Paul Fortress - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family. Then you go inside to the magnificent St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, which stands where Russia's great emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded.

In the evening you can enjoy an optional activity - a fascinating Folk Show at the Nikolaevsky Palace.

  • Optional tour: Feel Yourself Russian Folk Show, Nikolaevsky Palace
    An Enchanting festival of Russian spirit "Feel yourself Russian" is performed by a professional folk ensemble at the Nikolaevsky Palace. Three musicians brilliantly perform folk compositions.

Day 8
Tour of the Hermitage Museum

Following breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go to the legendary Hermitage Museum, that houses its unique collection of world art, including the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, El Greco, Francisco Goya and Thomas Gainsborough in the halls of the Winter Palace.

They say that if you were to spend three minutes by each of the exhibits in the Hermitage, it would have taken you three years to see the entire exhibition. But don't worry - you have an experienced guide, who will show you the best rooms and halls of the exhibit within several hours.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. In the evening you can enjoy an optional tour carefully prepared for you.

    A visit to St. Petersburg won't be complete without a magnificent boat ride across its numerous rivers and canals that are an inherent part of the romantic image of the city.

Day 9
Trip to Peterhof

After breakfast, you meet your guide in the hotel lobby and travel to the outskirts of St. Petersburg to explore the former summer residence of Russian tsars, Peterhof.

During the tour, you visit the famous Bath Cottage, which offers a fascinating insight into everyday life of Russian court, and take a walk in the beautiful Lower Park, lavishly adorned with 176 fountains of various forms and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

    ​Your private guide takes you to one of the most beautiful palaces in St. Petersburg - the Shuvalov Palace located on the Fontanka River to show you the world’s largest collection of works by Carl Fabergé.

Day 10
Trip to Pushkin

After breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and head for Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) to explore the brilliant Catherine's Palace that is a striking example of baroque architecture gifted by Peter the Great to his wife Catherine I.

During the tour, you walk through the lavish parks and gardens of this outstanding palace and enjoy its gorgeous interiors, including the replica of the world-renowned Amber Room.

After the tour, you return to your hotel in St. Petersburg and have the rest of the day free.

Day 11
Flight to Kazan

Following breakfast, you check out and your driver takes you to the airport. You have a connecting flight to Kazan with a layover in Moscow.

Welcome to the beautiful capital of the Republic of Tatarstan and the center of Tatar culture in Russia! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free to relax in your cozy room, dine in one of the nearby restaurants or start exploring the city on your own.

Day 12
Kazan Sightseeing Tour & Visit to the Kremlin

Following breakfast, you then enjoy a panoramic bus city tour around the most prominent attractions of Kazan, including the Old Tatar Quarter, the Marjani Mosque, the scenic Kaban Lakes, the Millennium Park and Freedom Square.

Then you have lunch with cooking master class in a city restaurant. You learn how to make 3 traditional Tatar dishes.

After lunch, you explore the historical ensemble of the Kazan Kremlin. During the tour, you see the main treasures of the complex, including one of the largest mosques in Russia - the Qol Sharif Mosque, the leaning Soyembika Tower, the Annunciation Cathedral and the Governor's Palace.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 13
Trip to Sviyazhsk and Chak-Chak Museum

Following breakfast, you meet your guide and driver who take you to the island of Sviyazhsk to enjoy its amazing architectural heritage. Along the way, you have a stop at the famous Temple of All Religions - the unique complex that consists of several cupolas, minarets and spires representing the architecture of 12 major religions of the world.

Upon arrival at Sviyazhsk, you enjoy a walking tour around its most treasured attractions, including the Dormition Monastery, the Monastery of John the Baptist and the Trinity Monastery of St. Sergius.

After lunch in a local restaurant, you proceed to the chak-chak museum. Here you learn the secrets of making the traditional Tatar sweet. You are also invited for tea drinking with chak-chak, baursak and Tatar pastila.

After the tour, you return back to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 14
Day Tour to Bolgar

Today after breakfast you meet your guide and driver to go on a day trip. Together you head to the outskirts of Kazan to see the outstanding Bolgar Historical and Archaeological Complex located in the Spassky District.

This historical and archaeological site is set on the left bank of the Volga River about 140 km from Kazan and is a well-known UNESCO World Heritage Site. The complex includes the remains of the medieval city of Bolgar, which was the first capital of the Golden Horde in the 13th century. Bolgar is an early settlement of the Volga-Bolgars civilization that existed between the 7th and 15th centuries AD.

During the tour, you get to see the main sights of the complex including the Bolgar ancient settlement. You are treated to lunch onsite and get to visit the Museum of the Bolgar Civilization and enter the White Mosque (entrance tickets included).

After the tour, your driver takes you back to your hotel in Kazan. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 15
Departure

This is the final day of your trip. Following breakfast, you check out from your hotel and your private driver takes you to the airport for your flight back home.
