Day-by-Day

Day 1
Arrival to Bastia

Welcome to the charming town of Bastia in Corsica, France! Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the airport/port and transfers you to your hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free so you can start exploring the surrounding area on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest in your comfortable room.

No meals included.

Day 2
Bonifacio Sightseeing

After breakfast, you check out from the hotel and together with your driver-guide start your journey towards the south of the island.

After 3 hours of driving, you arrive in Bonifacio, one of the best-sheltered ports of the Mediterranean perched on a limestone rock.

Upon arrival, you enjoy a guided walking tour, during which you explore Bonifacio's old town, the Santa Maria Maggiore church, the Street of the 2 Emperors, fortifications and the famous King of Aragon stairway carved into the rock. You also reach the 9th-century citadel from Bonifacio harbor by a little train. Among the outstanding things you see today, is a panoramic view of the Strait of Bonifacio which is considered to be the sea gate of Italy's Sardinia and French Corsica and is a natural maritime reserve. As a highlight of the day you enjoy a public boat ride along the shore to explore marine caves and impressive cliffs.

After the tour you are transferred to your hotel in Porto-Vecchio, a picturesque town located on the Gulf of Pinarellu, and have the rest of the day free.

Breakfast is included.

Day 3
Rochers de Roccapina, Sartene & Transfer to Ajaccio

Following breakfast you check out, meet your driver-guide and continue your journey through Corsica. Your first stop today are the Rochers de Roccapina which are very unusual geological structures, caused by erosion. It is a perfect place for a memorable photo because of the astonishing natural granite formation which resembles a lion!

After enjoying the mysterious rocky landscape, continue your trip to Sartene which is called "the most Corsican of all Corsican cities". During the tour you explore the charming citadel of the city which offers a stunning panoramic view from the Gulf of Valinco to the massif of the Aiguilles de Bavella.

Your last stop of the day is Ajaccio, the capital city of Corsica. You arrive to your hotel for check-in and have a good rest after the busy day.

Breakfast is included.

Day 4
Ajaccio City Tour

In the morning you meet your guide at the lobby of the hotel and have a wonderful walking tour of the city. Ajaccio is a unique site in the heart of one of the most beautiful bays in the world with a mountainous backdrop facing the Sanguinaires Islands.

During the tour you explore the historical places of the city which is mostly famous for being the hometown of Napoleon Bonaparte. You start with visiting the house of the Bonaparte family where the legendary military leader was born in 1769 and brought up. You also explore the 16th-century Roman Catholic Cathedral that was once the site of Napoleon's baptism.

After the tour you have free time to wander among the local markets and shops, you may spend a moment to relax in front of the peaceful fountain in Place Foch. We also recommend to visit the Fesch Museum that houses the second most important collection of Italian art after the Louvre Museum.

Breakfast is included.

Day 5
Calanche de Piana & the Gulf of Porto

Prepare for an exciting day as you are invited to discover the unique natural wonder in the Mediterranean Area - the UNESCO-listed Gulf of Porto! After breakfast, you check out, meet your driver-guide and set off to the north of the island.

Your first stop is Calanches de Piana, the geological wonder of red porphyritic granitic rocks formed by erosion. You have some time to enjoy and take pictures of these dramatic and unique red, pink and orange rock formations.

Then you stop in the Gulf of Porto which is regarded as one of the most picturesque natural sites worldwide for its rocky landscape and magnificent cliffs against the blue waters of the sea.

Afterward, continue your journey via the Palmarella pass and finally arrive at your hotel in L'Ile-Rousse for check-in and overnight.

Breakfast is included.

Day 6
Balagne Region & Agriates Desert Exploration

After breakfast meet your driver-guide who takes you to around some of the most magnificent sights in Corsica.

You start today's tour in the famous Agriate Desert which is over 12 thousand acres of protected land, rich in vegetation in the spring and dryer in the summertime. Interestingly, the Agrigates region isn't very reminiscent of a desert, contrariwise, it surprises with its colorful scenery, rocky terrain, diversity of green plants and the beauty of its clear blue waters.

Then proceed to the town of Calvi. Together with your guide you stroll through the streets of the Genoese citadel and explore the marina with its huge bay with thousands of feet of sandy beaches surrounded by mountains.

Your trip is rounded up by a tour through the old villages of the Balagna Region. Your route lies along the cliff road, and you visit some of the typical villages such as Sant'Antoninu, Pigna and Corbara. During the tour you get to immerse in the atmosphere of the medieval times of Corsica.

After the tour you return to your hotel in L'lle-Rousse.

Breakfast is included.

Day 7
Tour of the Cap Corse & the Wine Route

Following breakfast you check out, meet your driver-guide and depart in direction of Cap Corse which is the northernmost area of Corsica.

First you visit Nonza with its houses merged into the rock. Continue your trip to the east coast of Cap Corse and visit the picturesque village of Pino, literally hanging on the mountain. Then on towards the tower of Osse, the ancient village of Erbalunga and a seaside town of Miomo located on the Tyrrhenian Sea.

The tour route of today also takes you along the Wine Route. The highlight of the tour is a tasting of Corsican AOC wine at one of the local wineries in Patrimonio.
