Day-by-Day

Day 1
Arrival in Moscow

Today you arrive in the glorious capital of Russia - Moscow! Your driver picks you up at the airport holding a sign with your name on it and transfers you to your centrally-located hotel.

The rest of the day is free, so you can either explore the fantastic center of Moscow on your own or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the following day.

Day 2
Tretyakov Gallery, Metro Ride & Moscow City Tour

After breakfast you go on a guided tour to the real treasure trove of the Russian fine art, the Tretyakov Gallery, where you spend several amazing hours viewing the gems of its collection, including the famous masterpieces of Ivan Aivazovsky, Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Vasnetsov.

Then you explore one of the most interesting city sites that is located deep beneath the surface - the Moscow Subway. You have a quick subway ride to taste local life and enjoy the splendid Soviet decoration of its stations.

Later you enjoy a leisurely walk through the beautiful Red Square, take a photo stop near the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral and see the largest Moscow department store GUM.

The rest of the day is free, so you can continue exploring Moscow on your own or take one of our optional tours (ask your travel specialist about available options).

 

Day 3
Visit to the Kremlin & Armoury Chamber

This morning is devoted to the exploration of a real Russian miracle and its most famous symbol - the mighty Kremlin. Following breakfast, you check out from the hotel and go on a guided tour of this historical fortress, that includes a visit to its wonderful Armoury Chamber that houses a unique collection of crown jewels, stunning coronation finery, hand-forged armor and weapons, royal carriages and sleighs, and world-famous Fabergé eggs.

After lunch at a city restaurant, you are transferred to the river port to board your luxurious MS Volga Dream. Before accommodation in your cozy cabin you enjoy a traditional Bread, Salt & Vodka Ceremony. In the evening you are invited to the Captain's Welcome reception and dinner on board.

 

Day 4
Uglich Sightseeing Tour

After a full day of cruising along the picturesque scenery of the Russian countryside, you arrive in the small town of Uglich, where a historically significant political turmoil known as the Times of Trouble started.

During your city tour you visit the famous Church of St. Dmitry-on-Blood, built on the site where Ivan the Terrible's son, Dmitry, was murdered in 1591, and the St. John's Church where you enjoy a fascinating concert of choral music.

After the tour, you return to your ship and watch the documentary film "Construction of the Moscow Canal".

 

Day 5
Yaroslavl City Tour

Today you explore one of the oldest Russian cities and the gem of the Volga River - Yaroslavl.

During your guided city tour you explore the Spassky Monastery where you see the icon Transfiguration of the Savior, visit the wonderful Church of Elijah the Prophet with incredible mosaic decoration, and participate in a costumed reception at the governor's house.

After the tour, you return on board your ship. In the evening you can join a Costumed Russian Tea Ceremony and Russian Cooking Class.

 

Day 6
Goritsy Sightseeing Tour

Today you arrive in Goritsy - a tiny picturesque settlement near White Lake. Your guided tour includes a visit to the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery that was founded in 1397 and now houses one of the greatest collections of Russian icons in the world.

After the tour, you return on board your cruise ship and enjoy Russian Dinner with Vodka tasting party.

 

Day 7
Tour of Kizhi Island

Today you see a real miracle of wooden architecture - the fantastic Kizhi Island. During your walking tour, you explore its famous Pogost including the dazzling 22-domed Transfiguration Church built without a single nail, beautiful windmills and ancient Russian wooden houses.

After returning to your ship you enjoy the Piano Concert consisting of pieces by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff.

Day 8
Svirstroy Tour

Today you explore Svirstroy - a small charming village located on the 139-mile-long Svir River. Here you invited to a local resident‘s home where welcoming Svirstroy villagers offer tea with jam and pirozhki (local pies). You get to learn about Russian traditions and lifestyle and see the attractions of Svirstroy.

After tea hop on a bus for a tour of the nearby town to see the monument of the WWII followed by a visit to a local primary school.

Then you return on board your cruise ship and enjoy the barbeque organized on the Open Deck.

Day 9
Visit to the Hermitage & St. Petersburg City Tour

Today you arrive in St. Petersburg - the culmination of the world’s best capitals and the living museum under the open sky.

Upon arrival, you meet your private guide at the pier and go to the legendary Hermitage Museum, that houses its unique collection of world art, including the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, El Greco, Francisco Goya and Thomas Gainsborough in the halls of the Winter Palace. They say that if you were to spend three minutes by each of the exhibits in the Hermitage, it would have taken you three years to see the entire exhibition. But don't worry - you have an experienced guide, who will show you the best rooms and halls of the exhibit within several hours.

After lunch at a city restaurant you enjoy a panoramic city tour around the most famous St. Petersburg attractions, that includes a visit to the Peter and Paul Fortress - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family.

In the evening you are transferred to your centrally located 5-star hotel located in the city center.

 

Day 10
Trip to Peterhof & Pushkin

After breakfast, you meet your guide in the hotel lobby and travel to the outskirts of St. Petersburg to explore the former summer residence of Russian tsars and the gem of palace architecture - Peterhof.

During the tour, you visit the famous Bath Cottage and take a walk in the beautiful Lower Park, lavishly adorned with 176 fountains of various forms and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes.,

After lunch at a city restaurant you head for Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) to explore the brilliant Catherine's Palace that is a striking example of baroque architecture gifted by Peter the Great to his wife Catherine I. During the tour you walk through the gorgeous parks and gardens of this outstanding palace and enjoy its gorgeous interiors, including the replica of the world-renowned Amber Room.

After the tour, you return to the hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

 

Day 11
Departure from St. Petersburg & Train to Helsinki

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your private driver takes you to the train station for your train to Helsinki.

Upon arrival in approximately 3,5 hours you are taken to your centrally located hotel for check in and have the evening at leisure.

 

Day 12
Exploring Helsinki Old Town & Visiting the Rock Church

After breakfast your private guide takes you on a wonderful 4-hour Helsinki sightseeing tour to show you the best this city has to offer. During the tour you walk through the vivid Central Harbor and Market Square, explore the charming Old Town and visit the famous Rock Church and the Helsinki Cathedral.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free and can continue exploring the city on your own.

Day 13
Ferry Ride to Tallinn & City Tour

In the morning you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to the port where you board a ferry that takes you to the beautiful capital of Estonia - Tallinn.

Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the port and transfers you to your centrally located hotel to leave your luggage. Later you meet your guide in the hotel lobby and go on a wonderful 3-hour walking tour around the most magnificent attractions of Tallinn.

During the tour, you explore both Upper and Lower parts of the Old Town. In the Upper Old Town you visit the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, go inside the Dome Church and admire magnificent views over the city rooftops from the observation platform.

In the Lower Old Town you see the wonderful Town Hall Square and the Town Council's Pharmacy, believed to be the oldest working pharmacy in Europe. Then you proceed to St. Catherine’s Passage that provides numerous shopping opportunities at the local craft workshops, including glass, leather and ceramic wares, and finish the tour next to the iconic Viru Gates.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

 

Day 14
Transfer to Riga & City Tour

After breakfast, you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to the charming capital of Latvia - Riga in about 4,5 hours.

Upon arrival, you are taken to your centrally located hotel to leave your luggage. Later you meet your guide in the hotel lobby and go on a 3-hour walking city tour around the most interesting Riga attractions.

During the tour you take a walk at the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, visit the Dome Cathedral and the Church of St. Peter (entrance tickets are included) and explore the heart of Riga’s Art Nouveau heritage - a famous Albert street abundant in beautiful buildings with unusual sculptures, colored bricks and tiles, geometric ornaments and uniquely shaped windows.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

 

Day 15
Free Day in Riga

This day is free for you to continue exploring the fantastic attractions of Riga on your own or take one of our carefully prepared optional tours.

Today we invite you to see Riga from another perspective during an incredible boat ride along the capital's canal and the River Daugava on a canal tour.

 

Day 16
Transfer to Vilnius & City Tour

After breakfast, you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to the charming capital of Lithuania - Vilnius in about 4 hours.

Upon arrival, you are taken to your centrally located hotel to leave your luggage. Later you meet your guide in the hotel lobby and go on a 3-hour walking city tour around the most fantastic Vilnius attractions.

During the tour, you explore the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, visit the famous Vilnius Cathedral and go inside the oldest university in Lithuania dating back to 1579 - the Vilnius University (entrance tickets are included).

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

 

Day 17
Free Day in Vilnius

This day is free for you to continue exploring the fantastic attractions of Vilnius on your own or join our carefully prepared optional tour.

 

Day 18
Departure from Vilnius

This is the last day of your amazing journey through Russia and the Baltics! After breakfast, you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to the airport for your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future trips!
