Our trip to Spain was everything we have been dreaming of and more! The thing that shocked me most was that every point of the tour was soo well-organized! Everything went like clockwork. All drivers were on time and even early, and transfers went smoothly without even one little hitch - now that's what I call impressive organizational skills! The hotels we stayed at were great, the one in Barcelona was our favorite.
What I loved most about our journey (and Daniel agrees) was that we saw many Spanish cities and towns instead of sticking just to one destination as we did on our previous trips abroad. Because the connections were well-planned there was no trouble whatsoever to move from town to town and it wasn't exhausting either. We got a clear picture of what local culture is like (beautiful!), history and found out so much about multi-sided Spain. We agree that all the towns we visited were real "jewels" of Spain, each with its own special spark.
We really liked Madrid, with all its parks and palaces and squares. And the Prado Museum! What a delight! Both of us really enjoyed the old towns of Cordoba, Malaga and of course Seville - they are exceptionally breathtaking. We recommend those planning to visit these places to take some time to stroll down the narrow streets, it's very romantic and relaxing.
Barcelona swept me off my feet! So different from the capital but with such a stirring atmosphere. The day devoted to the works of Gaudi was exceptional, the architectural legacy he left the city, the designs and planning - so unlike what you're used to seeing every day. Daniel and I did some individual sightseeing too, Monjuic Hill was fun. It opens incredible views of the city and there is a lot to do and see there.
I can go on for pages about our trip but to sum I'd like to say thank you for planning an excellent vacation for us! We definitely want to return to Spain again to see the northern towns or maybe the islands.
